European Space Agency's new plan for Mars

Human interest in the red planet Mars is endless. That's why scientists have been researching to make Mars suitable for life for a long time. Not only scientists, but also SpaceX, Tesla, and Elon Musk, the owner of the microblogging site X (formerly Twitter), are working to establish human settlements on Mars. The US space research agency NASA is preparing to go to Mars within the next decade. This time, the European Space Agency (ESA) wants to go to Mars within the next 15 years. In the meantime, the agency has also published an ambitious plan to establish human settlements on Mars.

According to the European Space Agency's plan, in addition to building self-sufficient habitats on Mars within the next 15 years, various crops will be produced using AI technology. Although there are many challenges in implementing this plan, the dream of living on Mars will be fulfilled by utilizing the cooperation and technological advancements of various European countries.

The European Space Agency's Director General, Joseph Ashbacher, said the new plan is part of a roadmap to establish a stable European presence in Earth orbit and beyond. The European Space Agency wants to create an oasis in space in this plan, titled Technology 2040. The Mars oasis will have autonomous AI systems, robotic assistants and smart sensor cities. It will have technology for power generation and waste recycling. Potatoes, rice and leafy vegetables will be produced through controlled greenhouse modules.
