ChatGPT is being directly integrated with Gmail and Google Calendar. With the launch of this new feature, Gmail users will be able to easily perform tasks such as analyzing emails, creating replies, and adding events to their calendars with the help of ChatGPT. In the meantime, selected users of ChatGPT are able to use this new feature experimentally.
Currently, ChatGPT users can analyze certain information in their Gmail account through a feature called 'Deep Research', but they cannot directly open an email to read it or view the summary. To solve this problem, ChatGPT is launching an experimental integration facility with Gmail and Google Calendar.
Once the new feature is officially launched, ChatGPT will be able to easily view the summary of emails and also write replies as needed. At the same time, it will also be possible to create events directly in the calendar. As a result, Gmail users will be able to perform their daily tasks in a more organized manner.
Technology researcher Tibo said that this new feature may be connected to ChatGPT's 'search' feature. Because there have been hints about this on several OpenAI help pages. OpenAI may soon open this feature to everyone.
